Gun Safety
I am deeply saddened by the recent tragedies in Texas, New York, and California and other mass shootings that have struck our communities. My sincerest condolences go out to the families grieving from tragic losses. We can't wait any longer to pass responsible gun laws. The laws that I propose and the policies I support will ensure that we reduce gun violence and accidents in our country.
How do we accomplish this?
-
Prevent gun trafficking by cracking down on illegal trafficking networks
-
Stop unlicensed dealers from selling guns without background checks and criminally prosecute unlicensed dealers that illegally sell guns
-
Sunset laws that allow the sales of assault and military-grade weapons to civilians that are not on active military duty
-
Require that all gun owners register their weapons and mandate the regular renewal of their gun registration
-
Hold quarterly Federal Weapon Buy-Back for designated federal agencies to purchase guns from individuals
What else do you think we should do to reduce gun violence in America?
