Ms. Omere then addressed the delegates and expressed her desire to represent all of the residents of Congressional District 4. She stressed her commitment to public education and her experience both as a teacher and as a teacher of teachers.
Another priority of Ms. Omere is healthcare. She expressed her dismay about the Trump-era proposal to close parts of the Bonham VA Hospital and move them to the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex. Not only would this affect veterans in the surrounding rural areas, but it would be devastating to many local workers and the North Texas economy.
